PMT Alumni Met in Las Vegas for the First Biennial Meeting & Reunion

Around 90 alumni and guests gathered at the Brunswick Room of the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on June 25, 2016 for the USAPMTIAA’s First Biennial Meeting and Reunion.  Golden Jubilarian Ms. Gilda R. Rivero, former Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology, University of San Agustin, addressed the alumni during the Dinner Banquet.  She reminded the alumni to seek things that really matter in life and to give back to their family, community and Alma Mater.

The attendees were mostly practicing medical technologists in the US.  However, there was also a strong presence of equally successful alumni from Canada.  Two pharmacists were present – Ms. Frieda Djohanna Blancia and Ms. Aloja Villaflor-Jalipa (Class 1998 and Class 2002, respectively).  The most senior international alumni came from Class 1972, Ms. Leonora Naces Jalipa and Ms. Tita Chin.  The youngest was Mr. Andro Eslabra from Class 2006.  Mr. Francisco Moreno Jr. of Class 2001 celebrated his birthday during the reunion.  The Class with the most attendees was Class 1996 with 10 members present.  Ms. Veronica Lotayo of Class 1991 celebrated her Silver Jubilee.

The officers led by their president Dr. Marlon Torrento, were also inducted into office by Ms. Gilda R. Rivero. (June 26, 2016)

Still looking fabulous, Ms. Leonora Naces Jalipa and Ms. Tita Chin from Med Tech Class 1972 are the most senior international alumni among the attendees.  They are practicing medical technologists in Saint Louis, MO and Irvine, CA, respectively.
