USAPMTIAA Scholarship Programs

There are 3 scholarship programs sponsored by USAPMTIAA and these are available for qualified students attending the University of San Agustin with preference to students enrolled in Pharmacy and Medical Technology (now called Medical Laboratory Science) programs. The current members of the USAPMTIAA Scholarship Program Committee are:

Alumni-Sponsored Pass Through (ASPT) Scholarships

Over the years, the USAPMTIAA has helped a number of scholars through its Pass Through Scholarship program where an alumnus (must be a member of USAPMTIAA) sponsors a scholarship grant for his/her chosen scholar. Here are the steps that the Sponsor should follow to establish the scholarship program.

Step 1

An alumnus (called the Sponsor) who would like to sponsor an ASPT scholarship should fill out the Sponsorship Form online and submit it to the USAPMTIAA Scholarship Committee. This form identifies the Sponsor, the Scholar and the Guidelines for the scholarship. If you are sponsoring this form of scholarship, please start by filling out the Sponsorship Form below:

Important Rules:

It is the responsibility of the Sponsor to determine the exact amount to be covered by the scholarship grant. The Sponsor shall also guarantee the availability of the funding for the scholarhsip. The Sponsor is encouraged to check ahead with the College or the University to determine an accurate assessment of the most current tuition fees and miscellaneous fees of the Scholar.

The Scholar must meet the requirements set forth by the Sponsor in maintaining the scholarship. The Sponsor directly outlines the rules to the Scholars, including grade requirements.

At the end of each semester covered by the scholarship grant, the Scholar is required to submit a copy of his/her grades to the Sponsor and to the USAPMTIAA Committee.

The Sponsor reserves the right to continue or discontinue the scholarship grant. However, the Sponsor is required to inform the USAPMTIAA Scholarship Committee and the Scholar in writing, one month prior to the termination date of the scholarship.

Step 2

The USAPMTIAA Scholarship Committe reviews the Scholarship Sponsorship Form and replies to the Sponsor regarding the approval of the scholarship program. The USAPMTIAA Scholarship Committee then informs the Scholar and the Dean of the College regarding the details of the scholarship program.

Step 3

The Sponsor forwards the scholarship funding to the USAPMTIAA which then transmits the funding to the Scholar. The Scholar forwards the tuition and miscellaneous fee funding (whichever is applicable) to the University Accounting Office. The Scholar will request the Dean or Academic Supervisor to verify or sign the receipts before submitting them to the USAPMTIAA Scholarship Committee (c/o Dr. Marlon Torrento, USPAMTIAA Treasurer).

The Sponsor can send the funding to USAPMTIAA by paying online or by mailing a check. When sending the funds online, please note that a 3% processing fee is taken from the total amount you send. Sponsors should consider this when sending the funds to ensure that the amount that goes to the Scholar is enough to cover the tuition or miscellaneous benefits. Please allow a 2 to 4-week processing before the funding reaches the Scholar.

USAPMTIAA-Sponsored Scholarship

Since this program opened, the USAPMTIAA has sponsored 2 scholars with free tuition and miscellaneous fees as well as book and board and lodging allowances for 4 years. The two scholars have successfully passed their Med Tech board sin 2024. This scholarship is not currently open.
