The Pharmacy alumni of the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology, University of San Agustin gathered together for an extraordinary Homecoming Jubilee on November 30 to December 2, 2016. Many activities were held to commemorate the 70th year founding of the University’s illustrious Pharmacy program.
The three-day event kicked off with a Thanksgiving Mass and a City Caravan. These were followed by an opening program at the University Gym where the Pharmacy Alumni Association Officers headed by Genoveva Declarador, MS Phar were inducted. The alumni were then treated to a campus tour showcasing the recent developments in the University. Living up to the University ‘s motto of Virtus et Scientia, the alumni conducted a number of community outreach activities which included medical missions and visits to a home for the aged and a hospital children’s ward. An FDA Region 6-sponsored seminar on Pharmacy was also held.
The homecoming was capped by a Pharmacists Got Talent contest and a Gala Night where jubilarians and outstanding alumni were honored. Hundreds of alumni attended the celebrations and indeed they “reminisced, celebrated, and envisioned” as the University continues to maintain its status as a leading Pharmacy school in the Philippines. Doralyn Dalisay, PhD was Overall Chair and Remi Charlene Salvilla, MS Phar was Co-Chair of the entire event.
